In partnership with The Robert V. & Benjamin G. Miller Fund, Trailways Camp is a week-long residential camp for adults with special needs.
The Trailways Camp Mission:
To remove the social isolation often felt by people with disabilities by providing opportunities for fun, friends and support. Through outdoor activities, group exercise, crafts, and more, campers will have the opportunity to develop recreational skills and build relationships. Activities will include, fishing, campfire roasts, canoeing, talent show, a party, movie night, and more!
October 6th - 10th: 5 day Camping Activity (This camp session is now FULL)
Registration for the October 6th-10th, 2014 Trailways Camp is now FULL. We will continue to take applications for anyone who wishes to be placed on the waitlist to be chosen in the event that a registered camper drops out. You will be contacted with information about the 2015 camp session if your camper is not selected. Thank you.
How to Register:
All potential campers need to obtain a physical from their doctor and send it to camp coordinator Jesi Cason, either via email, fax (239-652-1655), or U.S. mail (Goodwill Opportunity Center - 5100 Tice Street - Fort Myers, FL 33905).
Once the physical is completed, registration can be completed online. A paper application can be also be requested by contacting Jesi Cason via email or phone at (239) 357-3623. Once your paperwork has been recieved, you will have a one-on-one meeting. Each camp applicant and their parent/caregiver will meet with a staff member to determine final elegibility and we will then provide camp schedule, packing list, etc.
