A Microenterprise is a small business with fewer than five employees.
More than 85% of the businesses in the United States are microenterprises. Microenterprises often don’t meet the credit/collateral requirements needed to secure conventional financing.
The SWFL MicroEnterprise Project
Goodwill and the SWFL MicroEnterprise Project provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills they need to succeed and become more independent. Specifically, this project is designed to help individuals with low to moderate income levels and other disadvantages (including unemployment and underemployment) to start their own business.
The SWFL MicroEnterprise Project is available to aspiring small business owners who meet low to moderate income levels and live in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry or Glades Counties. The program provides business and management training and mentoring. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be considered for a microloan.
