What to Donate

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida  accepts donations of clean, useable items in sellable condition.  We regret that we cannot accept all donations because of safety, privacy, and other concerns. 

In addition, Goodwill follows regulations set forth by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for the re-sale of goods.

Appliances: small, portable, and working (toasters, irons, microwaves, telephones, etc.) Air Conditioners
Baby items: Strollers, toys, furniture Ammunition/Explosives
Books Animals
CDs, DVD's, albums and cassette tapes (commercial video/audio only) Bathroom Fixtures
Clothing Blinds (unless in original boxes)
Computers (working or non-working condition) Clothing with stains, tears, or holes
Furniture Construction supplies (vanities, sinks, drywall, etc.)
Household items Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, poison, etc.)
Jewelry/accessories Large appliances (refrigerators, stoves, ovens, etc.)
Linens Large office equipment (copy machines, sorters, etc.)
Purses, bags, and luggage Mattresses and box springs
Rugs Newspapers and magazines
Shoes Swing sets
Stereo systems Televisions (working or not)
Toiletries (unopened only, please) Tires, Wheels, and automotive parts
Toys Wall-to-wall carpet and padding
  Waterbeds
  Windows and Doors

Please Do:

  • Donate During Store Hours
  • Wash or dry-clean clothing.
  • Test electrical equipment and battery-operated items.
  • Include all pieces and parts to children's games and toys.

Please Do Not:

  • Leave items unattended outside a collection center.
  • Donate broken or soiled items.
  • Give items that have been recalled, banned, or do not meet current safety standards.
