TRANSPORTATION DRIVER CDL A

JOB SUMMARY:

Operates gas or diesel truck on pick-up or delivery routes. 
Helps to load items into van/truck and helps unload at destination. 
Observes state and city speed and safety regulations and company
safety policies.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.   Loads or assists in loading truck with materials.  Unloads or assist in loading truck.
2.   Transports load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic
laws and safety regulations.
3.   Walks around truck to observe any visual defects and checks operating systems - brakes, horn, windshield wipers, lights, first-aid kits, emergency flashers,
and etc.
4.  Performs miscellaneous service duties such as checking on a
daily basis oil, water, gasoline, and air in tires.
5.   Reports emergency or imminent safety conditions to dispatcher via
mobile radio/phone.
6.  Completes check-list form at the completion of shift,
noting any safety items, customer complaints, or comments.
7.  Reports accidents immediately to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance
service as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.        May use hand truck to rearrange loads.
2.        May sweep out truck body.
3.        May switch empty/full trucks from the loading dock to the parking area.
4.        May supervise material handler.
5.        Any other duties requested by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
             
1.        Tack and diplomacy required in dealing with customer personnel at 
delivery or pick-up points.
2.        Requires high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the
control of truck and in preventing damage to materials and equipment.
3.        Frequently sitting for long periods of time.
4.        Friendly, customer-oriented personality.
5.        Ability to lift and move at least 40 pounds.
6.        Ability to hear at a normal level.
7.        Ability to understand oral and/or written instructions.
8.        Knowledge of all safety rules and regulations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

1.        Excellent driving record, as verified through the state DMV department.
2.        Must hold a current valid Class B commercial driver’s license.
 3.        Fluency in English.  Knowledge of Spanish helpful.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE WORKER 
(Temporary position)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Performs skilled maintenance, repair and construction work in the completion
of various activities. Responsibilities include performing unskilled, semi-skilled,
and skilled maintenance work related to the various departments. Perform routine assignments to different departments on an as needed basis, when assigned to
do so.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1. Perform carpentry duties: install, repair, replace windows and doors,
install and repair paneling and drywall, build pallets, bins, concrete forms,
stairways, trusses, rafters, scaffolding, siding and roofing.
2. Perform plumbing duties: repair or replace faucets, washers, faucet stems,
seats, traps, tail pieces, drain traps, leaks, drain pipes, unclog drain pipes,
clear clogged drain lines, install valves and sinks.
3. Perform painting duties: prepare white wash, mix different colors of paint,
paint interior and exterior trim, use paint thinner, solvents and conditioners,
paint walls and ceilings, prepare surfaces for priming and tainting.
4. Perform masonry duties: mix and pour concrete for steps, slabs, footings, repair
ceramic tile walls and floors, patch cracks in concrete walls and floors, finish new
concrete surfaces using trowels and floats.
5. Perform electrical duties: install and repair switches, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes,
light fixtures, receptacles and fuses.
6. Meet the requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform required duties.
7. Safe work procedures necessary to protect the employee, fellow workers
and the public.
8. Work with all supervisors and perform duties as assigned.
9. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Title:  Loss Prevention Associate

This is a Part-Time hourly position totaling a maximum of 20 hours per week.
The Loss Prevention Associate will assist the Director in detecting, reporting,
and resolving all issues related to loss prevention at all Company Retail Store
locations, Plant & Administration Building & Facilities, Car Lot, Banquet Center and Attended Donation Centers. This position will require frequent local travel and reliable transportation is essential. This position will require evening & weekend work almost entirely. There will be a significant emphasis on performing surveillance activities
and the ability to sit for long periods of time in a motor vehicle without restrictions is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensures that all internal and external investigations once approved and authorized
by the Director of Loss Prevention, are completed in a manner that complies with all company policies & procedures and is conducted legally in full compliance of all local,
state and federal law.
2. This position mandates the ability to favorably and professionally interacting with all levels of local law enforcement personnel, county & state court systems, our Goodwill customers and employees.
3. Understand that no investigation, surveillance or employee interviews will be
conducted without the knowledge and consent of the Director of Loss Prevention
& Safety.
4. Conduct surveillance activities on evenings and weekends at all Company locations
at the direction of the Director of Loss Prevention.
5. Conduct package inspections at retail stores and other company operated locations ensuring that all actions are consistent with company policies & procedures.
6. Immediately notifying the Director of Loss Prevention of any instance where
suspected theft is observed during surveillance or following an authorized package inspection.
7. Video tape record activities during surveillances and maintain proper care of all
company issued equipment which will include but is not limited to: cellular telephones, laptop computer, video camcorder and any other equipment assigned.
8. Report any incident or suspected incidents to the Director of Loss Prevention
immediately involving donation theft, fraud, vandalism, burglary, other suspected
criminal activity, fire or safety concerns involving company property or facilities.
9. As assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention, routinely review and burn video
from the stores closed circuit television system to validate or support investigative
matters both internally and externally.
10. Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to any and all theft incidents or occurrences of consequence to the Director of Loss Prevention.
11. Testify in court concerning any case, criminal or civil, wherein the organization
is a party in interest and which the associate is summoned.
12. Ensure proper report writing, record keeping and retention of evidence.
13. Identifies and ensures timely communication of issues that must be addressed
at a higher level.
14. Assists Director in conducting loss prevention audits, mini audits and control audits/inspections or other business related activities as required.
15. Always represents the organization by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
