Job Title: Vice President of Retail Operations
JOB SUMMARY:General:
Within the authority assigned by the President, coordinates the activities of the donated goods program, including transportation, operations/production, retail sales, and salvage. Directs, plans, controls and evaluates the activities of these departments to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness within budgetary guidelines.
- Participate in Senior Staff activities including developing and monitoring organizational objectives.
- Establish and maintain management controls sufficient to ensure the protection of organization assets.
- Responsible for monitoring quantity and quality of incoming goods, collection activities and retail sales merchandise mix in order to maximize sales and income opportunities.
- Responsible for identifying and communicating problems and opportunities. Adopting appropriate and timely action.
- Submit and manage budgets relative to the capital and operational needs of the Retail Division.
- Oversees and evaluates the professional development of managers within the retail division.
- Responsible for the management of information within the Retail division and the timely submission of reports relative to that information.
- Define and recommend objectives in each area of responsibility.
Transportation/ Operations:
Supervises and assists the Director of Facilities Operations to:
- Manage a program for the physical acquisition of donated goods that supports long-range retail growth plans.
- Ensure systematic procedures are followed for the maintenance and safety of all equipment and vehicles.
- Maintain collection reports concerning donated materials.
- Ensure that production standards are met for each department.
- Oversee activities to ensure goods are delivered to all locations in accordance with individual retail needs.
- Coordinate the activities of clients assigned to the Operations Department in conjunction with the Career Development Department to achieve success in overcoming employment barriers.
- Collaborate and partner with other departments in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
- Maintain a safe, productive, organized and neat operations area.

Job Title: Material Handler
Description:
Manually or using hand truck performs various material handling duties in the facility. Manually loads materials or products on skid or hand truck. Stack skids or pallets in designated areas. Places trash into the proper container and moves container to proper location for disposal or dispose into compactor. After loading materials onto the truck, installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Empty boxes and bags into containers or hoppers from truck to take to appropriate sorting area. Helps keep all areas clean and neat.
Requirements:
Ability to lift at least 55 pounds. Wear safety goggles and safety equipment. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Job involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, pulling, pushing and carrying various objects. Operate tailgate or pallet jacks. Be productive, courteous, helpful, and friendly at all times. Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance. High school diploma or GED helpful.
